The Process

Nothing we sell started life as new material. Here’s how somebody’s trash becomes your next favourite shirt.

01 — Collect

Dead band tees from merch tables, factory offcuts, and post-consumer PET bottles. We collect from venues, thrift overflow and our own take-back program.

02 — Sort by colour

Black goes with black and white with white. Sorting by colour means the fibre never needs re-dyeing, which saves water and keeps the chemicals out. It’s also why we only make black and white.

03 — Shred & re-spin

Textiles are shredded back to fibre. Bottles are flaked and extruded into rPET. The two are blended and spun into a heavy 220 gsm yarn that’s tough enough for a pit.

04 — Print

We screen-print with water-based inks. There’s no PVC plastisol, so the print breathes, fades like a real record sleeve, and can be recycled with the shirt.

05 — Send it back

When your shirt is finally destroyed, post it back with the prepaid label inside the mailer. It goes back to step one and the loop starts again.
